10 men and 10 women selected as new squad of Japan

Team Japan 2014 is formed aiming for getting medals in Rio 2016 and even in Tokyo 2020

On 20 December, Nippon Badminton Association (NBA) made an official announcement of new squad of Japan in 2014

According to the criteria for selection, following players are automatically selected as national team(A) members :

1) Japan ranking No.1 of each event (*as of 13 December)

2) Champions of All Japan championships 〈https://badpal.net/2013/12/08/ss-finals-qualifiers-win-the-most-prestigious-national-tournament/〉

3) Runner-ups of All Japan championships (*singles only)

The other members are recommended by reinforcement committee of NBA based on their performances in 2013 and/or their potential for growth in the near future
